Liquify-like tool please?

Postby vinch » 06 Sep 2024, 11:32

Hi,

I am wondering if there's anything like liquify of Photoshop in Black Ink? Like I'd love to have a brush that can stretch the pixels for quick adjustment on the go without having to redraw it.

Thank you in advance!

Hi Vinch,

Do you want a brush that deforms, or an operator that will deform another layer?
The first solution is doable if we edit the BSL (see the Smudge 25 or Smudge Rake brushes...), but it might be a bit too complicated for you?
For the second option, I give a +1 for the request.

Thank you for replying!

The first option is what I'm currently looking at creating/modifying the Smudge 25 brush but it seems pretty complicated for me as you said :( So I would love to request a function that can act similarly to Photoshop liquify tool!

If you can guide me a bit on how to tweak the smudge brush to do such thing, I would be so grateful! But otherwise, thank you so much for your help!

The smudge, when applied multiple times, blurs your drawing. So, you will have to wait until we release the new brush system that will handle a layer operator, which will deform the source only once (instead of doing something recursive).
