I would like access to a plugin API to develop plugins and such.

It would also be nice if many/all of the features in BI were script-able too.

This would allow people to generate scripts that creates paintings, or if you paint something, it can be "played back" like a movie file so people can see how it was created.

darrell : we have not planned to release any SDK, public API nor plugin system for the moment. But we understand the request and I add a +1 for it

Hi! Sorry to revive this super old thread but I was asking myself the same question as OP and would like to know if there is any news on that front.

For example, these days I try my hand at a lot of black and white studies and it would be great if I could adjust the value of the current color using a shortcut + mouse. The same way that you can adjust the brush size with "S" + mouse.

With the proper API I believe it should be an easy enough tool to make.

What do you think?

hum nice idea.. but it's going to take a lot of work and time.
