Well... See here's the problem. I downloaded Black Ink onto my tablet, super enthusiastic only to discover the brush lags immensely aswell as the cursor in general. My specs are as follows:

Installed Physical Memory: 4.00 Gb
Total Physical Memory: 2.92 Gb
Available Physical Memory: 693 Mb
Total Virtual Memory: 5.85 Gb
Available Virtual Memory: 2.25 Gb
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU L 620 @ 2.00GHz, 2000 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

If you could please help :?

Thanks! :bye:

What version of WIndows are you running? What stylus/graphics tablet are you using?

I experience lag as well. Really this software would be perfect on a tablet. But it lags on my Surface Pro, Pro 2, and on Samsung Series 7 slate. I was very disappointed, and I'm glad I didn't purchase. I can sculpt millions of polygons in Zbrush/Blender, and paint billboard size illustrations in Photoshop/Artrage. But painting a single line lags in Black Ink. I'm hoping it's because it's in Beta, but I get the feeling it's not.

nichod1: We have some users we are satisfied of Black Ink on their Microsoft Surface. Anyway it will never be as good as on a dedicated GPU on a desktop.
The question is more which brush did you use and on which resolution ? Moreover do you have other applications running on background ? some of them can keep GPU mem resources.

I can assure you that I have nothing else running. I even installed it on a fresh surface pro, and I still see way more lag than I'd think I should. Especially when compared to any other apps.

nichod1 : Black Ink use intensively the GPU resources in fillrate & Bandwith. A Surface PRO isn't the best device to experiencing Black Ink due to is pretty average GPU ( Intel HD 4000 ). This GPU is just enough to run Black Ink.
We have tested it on this Device and Black Ink run better that we thought but I understand it can be not enough for you.
