Cannot save to PSD

When I try and save a bkd file as a psd file I get an error message "failed to save the file". I would like to open my painting in Photoshop and preserve the layers. Any one else come across this problems? Any ideas on how to resolve?

it's "normal" the PSD export is not functional yet. Sorry for that
