You will be able to ask to be a early beta tester and try new features before everyone.

Anyway I hope a public update will be releases next week

Hey,
I would be interested in beta testing too. Because I am a software developer too(as I mentioned I am working on a game, but also work on more serious software[e.g. have a look http://initialbyte.de/assembler]) I think I can give you a good feedback and possibly good bug reports(though I hope only few).
Also I am very interested in seeing software evolve over time. Ok you got me my main reason is that I would really like to test out new features ;D
