File Format Compatibility

While I love Black Ink's effects, I have a hard time using it the same way as, say, Sai Tools or Photoshop for basic drawings. Very often, I wish I could use Black Ink's beautiful effects for supplementary purposes. However, the primary issue with that is that it supports absolutely no file types that include layer information aside from its own, which means the only thing I could possibly do with it is draw on top of what I've finished elsewhere, which.. doesn't quite have the same effect.

Is there any chance that compatibility for photoshop psd files or at least tiff files could be included?
