max opacity / opacity lock

Hi,

I am not sure whether this has been suggested or whether I can achieve this in another way, but one of the things I have trouble with is when shading something with a lower opacity brush.
The brush will (of course) continu to add a new stroke over the previous stroke, therefore making the opacity higher where they overlap.

would it be possible to implement an opacity lock, so that when I am shading something at 40%, I can do that quite easily without worrying that when I accidentally overlap I am stuck with parts that have 80% opacity?

This could either be on the same layer or implemented in such way that during the course of one single stroke, it will not add opacity while overlapping but staying at the max set value.

synasenn : this isn't possible.
The workaround is to create an independent layer and set his opacity to 40%.

Thanks, was afraid of that.
When we will be able to add more layers than 7, my suggestion will also be solved more easily.
