Textures for Game Art & Design

Postby fusebreaker » 07 Jan 2014, 21:36

I would like the ability to choose the size of my canvas. When making diffuse maps it is suggested to use sizes like 2048 x 2048, 1024 x 1024 and so on. I would also like to have a level of some sort, like the one in photoshop and illustrator. The rulers on the top and side would be nice but not a need, but the level line you can pull out of them would be awesome! In addition to the texture creation, I would like to be able to import an image of a UV layout and keep it in the back ground, this would really help me paint my maps.

You can actually choose the size of your canvas(File->New[use the second New])

What do you mean by level? If I understand you correctly you want to be able to add a line, but I cant see a reason wyh.

For images in the background: open your desired png with BI then add a new layer and paint on it ;D tada

Higher zoom levels are confirmed(http://forum.bleank.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=49)
