Stroke History and Replay

Postby chainsaw » 28 Sep 2013, 22:40

Would it be possible to save a stroke or series of strokes for 'replay' later?

Lots of possibilities if this was allowed: :desire:

* Tweak the 'programmed' strokes - adjusting the values captured from the pen or mouse using controllers. This would make layered controller strokes possible.

* You could draw a picture, and then redraw it using different brushes, colors, etc. Perhaps in a different location, scale, or rotation.

* The really cool thing would be to take a saved stroke collection and attach them to brushes as a pen or (even better) a controller option! With sinus, and other reoccurring signals, this would allow for organically 'growing' pen strokes that split into branches and other patterns as you draw. Effectively redrawing the original stroke, but with connectors controlling it's output like rotation, size, opacity, etc as a function of the new stroke being applied.

Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts! :thanx:

Yes you are right there are a lot of possibilities with this feature.
It is already in our debug mode but we need to imagine its user interface, still a lot of work :learn:
