Vector based system (information not suggestion)

I know this is a useless thread since it will probably never be such, but why Black Ink is not vector based? I know this required a whole new and different engine (I am myself a programmer) but what are the bad sides of a vector based system? I am asking this because the zoom is pretty weak at 1080p resolution and at 4K resolution, the picture takes too much space. Thanks.

hi goiltan11,

Black Ink isn't vector based because we output to many primitives ( several ten thousand or more if you draw several hours ) and it will be to difficult to render those primitives in one pass in real time.
For the Zoom at more than 100% it's something we will add in the future but we want to "encourage" people to create bigger image and forget about pixel size.
A crop tool to output smaller image from your drawing will be also added and help to share your drawing even if you keep the big .BKD
