Import PDF??

Postby urbanbert » 18 Sep 2013, 12:58

I am a landscape architect, and I see huge potential for your software to help me create unique coloured plans. I prepare my documentation in AutoCAD and then output a PDF, but some projects require some colour and depth which I usually use Adobe Illustrator for.

Will there ever be an option to import a PDF and then work with that file? Will there ever be an option to import any file format?

Why can't you use a Png?
If the problem is the scale you can readjust it with autocad or illustrator.

We didn't make any decisions about this format.
Maybe some day...

To keep your plans is it possible to you export in png?
I ask you this question because you can load this format in Black Ink to colorize your plans.
After you hide your layer with the plan and keep only your colors, save this new image in png with its transparency.
In the software you use when you compose your image, Import this png as a background or over your plan and thats it.

What do you think?

Thanks guys - excellent suggestions. For some reason I had thought my workflow would finish with Black Ink.

Appreciate your input.
