I've been wondering if the software works on a windows tablet so I could use it as a portable tool.

We only tried on a Surface pro tablet. You need a special driver for pressure support but it works although it's really not as fast and comfortable than on a classic computer. And anything less powerful than a Surface pro won't run it at all so we advise great caution.
