Stylus won't paint. Brush only erases.

Hi. If anyone is having trouble with these issues, try HOLDING the E key for a second or two. This toggles 'Erase with Current Brush.' In my case, my Gaomon tablet evidently defaults to this feature being active at startup - regardless of what I select in Black Ink's stylus settings.

Holding the E key once at startup fixes it.

I went through multiple driver updates, forum searches, and reinstalls trying to figure this out. Hopefully it helps someone like me (who doesn't read instructions very thouroughly.)

Peace out, Napoleon.

hi,

Do you have try to disable the option"Handle eraser state of stylus" in preferences ( Windows > Preferences > Stylus ) ?

Thanks a million. The magic combo seems to be Erase w Current Brush on, and Handle Eraser State off.

My tablet monitor doesn't have an eraser on the stylus. Every time I changed anything, the brush went back to erasing with brush. Holding E to toggle it back was the workaround, but changing the setting you indicated worked! Now if I can just learn to draw!

Thanks.
