Texture and Brushes FOlder

Postby mustanglou » 09 Feb 2020, 22:52

There are a whole bunch of cool brush shapes in this folder I'd like to use. I tried adding them to the brushes with a texture option but the brushes don't paint in the texture from the folder. An example is trying to paint the texture of Train 08. How do I make this happen?

Quick answer:
Use the "Felt pen textured1 16px" brush an replace the texture like this :

More complex answer :
create a BSL to handle the texture as you pleased, but it more complicated and we must do a more detailed tutorial . Anyway here a sample for that

Thank you for responding. I did play around with the textures but am unsuccessful in getting the texture to come out as is? For example, the trail brush I mentioned looks like it would make a great rock texture to use in landscapes however I can't seem to get the paint to come out the way the texture actually appears. Am I misunderstanding what these textures are supposed to be used for?

I have no idea what a BSL even is.

if you are referring to the brush "Hair trail", then yes the texture is used to "generate" point and not directly outputted.

Here a little gif to show you how it works for this brush :
- First I lowered the shape interval to better what's going on
- Then changing the number of dots generated

I have no idea what a BSL even is.

It's that
