Straight lines being drawn at start of curves

Hi, I just recently purchased Black Ink and was fooling around with the smoothness feature when I noticed something (see image in link below):
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1eDKtR ... hvLh-y1n6X
^ this was drawn using the default Felt Pen 2px brush

Issue:
When trying to draw long curves using quick strokes, for a fraction of a second or so, the stroke would be drawn straight before actually curving.

The problem seems to be worse if I set the smoothness to 0%. At higher levels, the problem still persists (I still get the straight lines, but they're much shorter). I have tried disabling Precise Stylus Position in the preferences but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Hardware:
OS = Win 10 Home 64-bit
Tablet = Intuous5 (driver version 6.3.30-6)
GPU = NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

Here's my DxDiag output in case it can be of any help with troubleshooting:

I have tried to replicate this on Photoshop and other programs, but the issue seems to be restricted to Black Ink.
Would appreciate any assistance on resolving this issue.

Hi Amade,
I tried to find your problem with the latest wacom drivers, but I remembered I had a similar problem.
To fix it I followed this issue.
Please let me know if the problem persists.

Thanks! The issue is now mostly resolved. I still get a short straight section, but I'm able to compensate for it by tweaking the smoothness setting.
