So basically Black Ink has always worked fine for me. Recently I 'upgraded' to windows 10 and had to reinstall my tablet drivers, which was no problem at all. Everything worked perfectly fine.
Sadly, when I opened up Black Ink for the first time in quite a while, I encountered the runtime error we all know and (do not) love. This was the first time it ran on WinX.
I already knew how to 'fix' this kind of thing. Thinking this would actually help as usual, I verified the application cache in Steam. This, however, did not do anything. It gives me the error in any case I try to open the program. In both forced DX9 and the normal version, windowed, full screen, from the desktop, through steam, in the source folder, in compatibility mode (Win 7, which I used to run).
I even reinstalled the entire thing, backing up all the user brushes hoping it would solve anything.
This also did not work.
