I've downloaded the update, but opening PNG files still crashes the software.
(crash reports have been sent)

Alright, I tried again and right before the screen disappears it flashes the following:
Error detecting e-mail client.
[Status = failed]
There is some text above it as well but it doesn't last long enough to scroll up. I'm not really sure what to make of it.. the bug report function requires email software like Windows Outlook to function?

Yes you need an email client but you didn't have one use

If everything went alright you received a manual email with the dumps/logs friday night. To make things easier however, I think I've found the culprit. The crashes are limited to specific PNG files. As far as I can tell progressive PNG files work fine, but interlaced ones crash. Oddly enough I haven't come across any problems using either type of PNG file in the image-based colour function; it's purely limited to opening an image.

Does Black Ink update automatically if it's on steam or do I have to download it from your site to update?

On steam the update is automatic. if you're not sure just read the Black Ink Caption.

Straightline.Shortcut=Awesome!
Straight Line constraint through 2 directions. Hold Shift Key while drawing to activate the Straight Line drawing constraint.
Random Crash ( occurred frequently when saving a PNG ).
