How to create a soft edge brush ?

Postby leonhart » 12 Sep 2013, 10:20

Hi,

I'm very new to Black Ink and loving it so far  , but I'm stuck on something that seems quite basic to me. I'd like to have a brush that produces this result :

I tried to play with gradients but as far as I understand it can only modify the behaviour of the entire stroke, not the basic shape of the brush.

So, is there a way to do it ?

This feature is coming.
The soft shadow in this R&D is done with this kind of brush for example

As long as there is no good solution you can you this brush:

Hopefully, it will help you.
(Caution: Large brush sizes might slow down your computer!)

I just tried it and it works actually pretty well.

I looked at the controller editor to see how you made it and it's very clever. I guess it's gonna take me some time before truly understanding the possibilities offered by the combination of controllers.

Thank you very much!
