Help, How to control color with random values

Hi, I just want to say that I pass all my free time on this amazing software and I try too learn this new tool.

After playing for a while on this, I tried to make a brush that get stuck on the same contrast BUT, on each stroke, we get a random contrast.

I would like to control the randomness on the value of contrast, Hue, color, etc. WITH still the same value until I left my pencil off the tablet.

have you any solution? :?:

Thanks and sorry my bad english, I'm a French Canadian.

Bonjour Carou !

We're glad you like Black Ink, please share your creations soon!

I hope I get the question right. What you want is to have something random that doesn't change until you release the pen.
Here's an idea:
There's a block in the "Global Parameter" section called "Global StrokeID". This returns a different number each time you start a new stroke (they are numbered by increments from the start of Black Ink).

You can feed this to a noise so it has the same result the time of your sroke and be different each time :

You'll have to play with the period to obtain the randomness you want.

Tell us if it helps.

à bientôt !
